The Culture of Mattel
An in-depth look at what it's like to work at Mattel
Our Campus

Our campus is headquarters to Fisher-Price, the global leading brand in the infant, toddler and preschool toy category.

The newly refurbished office space, which includes a state-of-the-art Design Team Center as well as an adult sized slide, fosters our fun and creative culture, supports collaboration and helps us to keep innovating design-led products for the next generation.

Our on-campus Toy Store gives you access to our hottest Mattel products at employee discounted rates.

Our Location

We are situated in the picturesque town of East Aurora in Western New York, with several local attractions and a short drive from our ‘neighbors to the North’, Canada. Our location also offers:

  • Close-knit community with good schools, charming homes, local art festivals and the Roycroft Campus
  • Walking distance from East Aurora Main Street for shopping and lunch
  • Quick drive to Buffalo, Rochester, and Toronto and a short flight to New York City
  • For sports fans, Buffalo is also home to the NFL Buffalo Bills and the NHL Sabres
  • Niagara Falls, Great Lakes, State Parks, winter skiing, summer watersports and so much more

Labs and Studios

To fully amplify the power of childhood, we value input from the true experts: babies, kids and parents:

  • Play Lab: Utilizing innovative technology and early childhood development expertise, we test 500+ toys per year and observe children in playful, state-of-the-art research settings - including a treehouse!
  • Right at Home Lab: Testing baby gear products in an authentic, home-like setting
  • FP Photo Studio: Photographing 3,000+ kids each year from diverse backgrounds to truly represent the world in which we live
Balance and Wellbeing

Balance and wellbeing are critical components of the employee experience that help us to be at our best. That's why we offer a hybrid model with flexible scheduling, which encourages our employees to be fully present for all the important events and activities in their lives.

In addition, we offer an on-site daycare and fitness center to ensure employees have everything they need to be their best at work and at home.

  • Daycare: The East Aurora Community Nursery for children 8 weeks to 5 years focuses on nurturing the whole child to meet physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs.
  • Fitness Center: Our subsidized program is available to you and your dependents offering access to state-of-the-art equipment, personal training, fitness challenges, and a wellness incentive program. In the mood for some outdoor fun? Hop on one of our custom Fisher ‘Pricycles’ for a cycle around the town, and as a bonus, a fun workout!
Healthy Cafeterias

We offer an on-site cafeteria serving up healthy and delicious options for breakfast and lunch. Need a quick snack? We’ve got you covered with a convenient grab-n-go café offering, located in our Design Team Center.

Meet Giorgio Cavalli — Manager Global Brand Marketing

"There are a wide range of brands and focuses you could work on within Fisher-Price. Whether it’s more towards helping parents and preparing them within baby gear, to working in the iconic Little People brand which we all grew up with, or even with superheroes and dinosaurs in Imaginext."
